![]() ![]() ![]() As the fan is working correctly during Apple Diagnostics and with third party software it seems to be a software issue and not hardware.ĬPU throttling to 0.3GHz at low temperatures Ever since I bought the 2020 MacBook Pro I feel like fans were running much more often than they should've. Third party software to control fan speed, worked without issues.Run Apple Diagnostics (the result did show everything was ok and it turned up the fan during it's process).Reinstalled macOS and erased everything. This did show the CPU temp to go above 100☌ with the fan being below 2000-3000rpm and the system not shutting down. ![]() I first noticed it when the top left part of the notebook got far too hot and the display completely broke (everything was out of place) until I restarted it.Īfter this I installed iStat Menus to see the actual temperature and fan speed. Since macOS mojave (maybe even before that but I didn't notice it before) I'm expierencing the issue that the system doesn't speed up the fans correctly and doesn't even shut down when it gets too hot, this is on Macbook Air Early 2015. ![]()
